The Personality Development Club and Character Building Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, in association with Arya Samaj, Sector 16, Chandigarh, celebrated Holi with an event titled ‘Holi ke Rang Prakriti ke Sang’. The event included a workshop in blended mode on Herbal Holi Colours Making and Online Slogan Writing Competition. The workshop on Herbal Holi Colours had artist Mrs Santosh Verma as the resource person. Over 110 participants got hands-on experience of preparing Holi colours from natural ingredients. The blended mode witnessed the creatively curated activity being simultaneously watched by the members of the Arya Samaj Mandir, Sector 16, Chandigarh. The Online Slogan Writing Competition was held on the topic ‘As you mingle with colours, pick the shade that matches your personality and articulate it into Holi theme’. The students penned Holi theme-based slogan with the colours they think to be representative of their personalities. The winners were awarded cash prizes.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava appreciated the efforts of Personality Development Club and Character Building Committee for having worked in tandem to organise the twin activities commemorating the festival of colours in a befitting manner. She further urged the students to consciously choose eco-friendly options of celebrating various festivals.
