The Electoral Literacy Club of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College For Women, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Election Department, Chandigarh Administration, organised a Special Camp for staff and students to link Aadhar card with EPIC (Voter Card). During the camp, new voters’ registration was also done. More than 70 students and staff members benefitted from the camp.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava expressed appreciation for this endeavour of the Electoral Literacy Club for sensitising students about the importance of voting. She expressed hope that the process of linking Aadhar and Voter Card will help in cleaning up the electoral rolls by weeding out duplicate entries, bogus voters and making the electoral process more credible.
