The Postgraduate Department of Economics at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised an online Inter-College Competition ‘Pratikriya’ on Budget Analysis. The competition aimed to encourage students to share their insights on the current budget of the Central Government. In the competition, various areas on budget were covered like MSME and start-ups, digital currency, etc. Diversity of views were expressed by participants from colleges and universities not just from the tricity but from different states of the country. There was an overwhelming response from the participants.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative of the Economics Department to help students develop critical thinking skills and applying theoretical knowledge to real life situations. She said that such competitions help in ensuring personality development of students.
