The Postgraduate Department of Psychology, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised a webinar on ‘Fundamentals of Research in Behavioral Sciences’. The resource person for the session was Dr. Amit Lal, Founder, Skills Learning Solutions. The resource person elucidated upon meaning of research, its types, process of research, formulation of research design and testing of hypothesis. Dr. Lal also discussed in detail parametric and non parametric tests. The webinar witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate students along with faculty members.
Principal Dr.Nisha Bhargava expressed appreciation for this initiative of the Department of Psychology as research is the bedrock of knowledge in general and higher education in particular. She added that, thus, it is essential to develop a sound methodological base of research among the researchers to cope with challenges in the field of research.
