Leh, Sep 11: Commissioner / Secretary, Health and Medical Education UT- Ladakh Rigzin Sampheal chaired a meeting regarding the status of COVID-19 in Tibetan settlement areas and old age home at Choglamsar today.
The meeting was attended by Director Health Services UT Ladakh, Chief Medical Officer, Leh and Chief Representative Officer, Tibetan Settlement, Ladakh.
Sampheal ordered for posting of a dedicated doctor and 5 nurses to the Tibetan Settlement, Choglamsar to assist the local doctors and staff present there.
He further assured the Chief Representative Officer, that all possible help would be extended to the Tibetan settlement in Choglamsar to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chief Representative Officer, Tibetan settlement, Ladakh expressed his gratitude to the UT Administration for the cooperation in handling of the COVID-19 crisis in the Tibetan settlement.
Commissioner Secretary Sampheal also visited the Tibetan Old Age Home along with the Director Health Services and Chief Medical Officer.
