RS 2500 PER MONTH ALLOWANCE TO BE GIVEN DURING TRAINING

Punjab Government has launched the MeraKaam, MeraMaan scheme to provide free training to the registered labourers under the Punjab Skill Development Mission and also to provide money.
Mr Amit Bamby, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) stated this in a press statement issued here today. He added that PSDM would provide skill training to the registered labourers of 18 to 35 years of age under this scheme and Rs 2500 per month allowance will also be given.
In district Barnala in the age group of 18 to 35 years, there are 7376 registered laborers and under the age of 36 to 45 there are 2453 registered labourers. District-in-charge PSDM Mr KanwaldeepVerma said that the training will be of 3 to 6 months and the trainees will later have to clear the exam as per the training given to them. Government of India approved certificate will also be given to those candidates who will clear the exam.
Ms.RenuBala, Manager (social mobilization) said that this skill training will be given under job roles like security, packer, sewing machine operator, beauty therapist, fashion designing etc. Sh. Gaurav Kumar, Manager (Training and Placement) said that only Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) registered labour can avail the benefits of this scheme.
