To sort out the issue, the District Administration is going to prepare a vacant land inventory available with Panchayats and other departments.
Holding a meeting with ADC (Rural Development) and District Development and Panchayat Officer at her office, she asked them to prepare a detailed inventory of lands which have all the requisite information viz. Distance from the Airport, Distance from existing National Highways, Upcoming National Highways etc. The details should also have information on the size of the land chunk and its directions.
She said that district Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar has four Development blocks named Majri, Mohali, Kharar and Derabassi besides 27 villages with Development block Rajpura of Patiala District. The total land which is being used for lease purposes is 3800 acres.
