In the quest to attract investments in the state and foster industrial development, Punjab will host the 4th edition of the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit on October 26th & 27th, 2021. The event would provide global platform for business leaders, investors and experts to share their opinions on ways to capitalize on the changing business ecosystem and to explore potential, collaborations & partnerships and attract investments to the state. Assigning the duties to officials to create congenial and safe ambience in the venue, the Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said that the summit will bestowed a great opportunity for investors & industry luminaries to witness the strengths of the State and get introduced to Punjab as an ideal place to do business. Emphasizing on prevailing Covid-19 protocols, he said that the Inaugural and Valedictory sessions will be held at the Indian School of Business (ISB), SAS Nagar (Mohali) in Hybrid mode and the remaining sessions will be conducted on virtual mode. The sectors for plenary sessions will include- Agro & Food Processing, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and Education.
He said that the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has constituted 10 committees across the relevant departments for the smooth conduct, organize and manage the Investment Campaign.
