Chandigarh, April 27 – Fulfilling the vision of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to transform the state into a hub for the pharmaceutical industry, Haryana Government will be organizing Pharma Tech Expo-2022 & Lab Tech Expo- 2022 from April 28 to April 30 at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh where more than 200 companies will be exhibiting their goods. Out of these 200 companies, over 40 companies are from Haryana.
This information was shared by Senior Manager, Trade Fair Authority, Sh. Anil Kumar Choudhary during a press conference organised at Chandigarh Press Club here today. Regional Director, North Region, Engineering Export Promotion Council of India, Sh. Rakesh Suraj was also present here.
Sh. Anil Kumar said that Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural function of the Expo to be held on April 28 in Hotel Shivalik View, Sector-17, Chandigarh and Additional Chief Secretary, Trade Fair Authority, Dr. G. Anupama will be the Guest of Honour. Dr. G. Anupama has made commendable efforts for organising this exhibition, he added.
He elaborated that the Pharma Tech Expo & Lab Tech Expo – 2022 is being organized under the banner of Trade Fair Authority of Haryana in collaboration with Engineering Export Promotion Council of India and Pharma Technology Index.com Pvt. Ltd.
He described that Pharma Industry is one of the fastest growing industry and India is one of the leading countries producing generic drugs and is known as the “Pharmacy of the World”. Sh. Chaudhary elaborated that the Pharmaceutical sector is an industry with over 20,000 registered units in India. About 1/3rd of International market need is met by Indian Pharmaceutical Industries.
Regional Director, North Region, Engineering Export Promotion Council of India, Sh. Rakesh Suraj said that Trade Fair Authority of Haryana is extremely happy to announce that the exhibition has been planned in the space of nearly 11,000 square meters, with more than 200 Exhibitors displaying Machinery and Equipments for producing drugs and other pharmaceutical products. He said that we are expecting a footfall of about 5000 visitors.
Technical sessions on different subjects will be organised during the event whereby focus will be on boosting exports of engineering goods from Haryana.
