66 cadets join various Defence Training Academies since CM Mann led Punjab Govt come into power, says Aman Arora

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar (Mohali) has set a new benchmark with 13 cadets joining the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) and other Defence training academies in just the past two months.

Disclosing this today, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora said that this feat brings the total number of cadets, who have joined the various Defence Training Academies since the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government came to power, to 66. These positive results are the testament of the state government towards fulfilling the aspirations of the youth who aspire to joint Defence Services.

He further informed that eight cadets include Armaanpreet Singh, Keshav Singla, Suryavardhan Singh, Fatehvir Singh, Suryansh Thakur, Bhavteveer Singh, Raghav Sharma & Sahil Sharma joined the NDA, Khadakwasla (Pune) for the NDA-153 Course. Aniket Sharma joined the Cadet’s Training Wing (CTW) at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, while Manas Taneja joined the CTW at Secunderabad in Telangana for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-52 Course. Vasu Mehta joined the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal for the 217 AFA Course. Jaskaran Singh (CTW of MRSAFPI) joined the 217 Course of the AFA, while Prashant Kumar (CTW of MRSAFPI) joined the 92 RVYO (Remount Veterinary Young Officer) Course at Remount Veterinary Corps Centre & College, Meerut.

Notably, Cadet Armaanpreet Singh stood first in the All India Merit List for the NDA-153 Course, while Keshav Singla secured All India Merit Rank 15 for the same course. The Cabinet Minister also congratulated these cadets on their career choice and wished them the best for their training and career ahead in Defence Services.

Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, Director MRSAFPI said that there are five more cadets of the Institute who are awaiting joining letters for the course to commence in March 2025. In addition, the cadets of the 13th Course are undergoing their Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews.
