Traffic rule, Covid SOP violators charged Rs.39500 fine

A mobile free testing camp for commercial drivers was today organised by the Motor Vehicle Department in Katra town under the supervision of ARTO Rajesh Gupta.
During this camp, around 150 drivers were checked and sensitized about the importance of following traffic norms.
According to ARTO, 10 drivers were detected for colour blindness and counseled. They were told that the purpose of this camp was to ensure that people with poor eyesight are not allowed to drive, especially in foggy conditions.
Those drivers with eyesight problems were asked to get spectacles at the earliest.
Meanwhile, ARTO along with a team of officials conducted an extensive checking on Reasi to Katra route and recovered Rs 39500 compound on spot for violation of traffic rules and COVID SOPs.
