Chandigarh, December 12: The National Livestock Championship Championship and Expo-2020′ would be organized by the Punjab Government from 6 to 8 February next year at Batala.
Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, giving this information, said that this is an annual event to promote livestock farming and make it a profitable business. During this event livestock farmers would share their success stories and the experts would provide latest information on this profession.
He said that during this three day national level livestock championship, livestock breeding and milching competitions would be held. In addition competition among various breeds of horses, buffaloes, cows, sheep, goats, dogs and chickens would also be held and attractive prizes would be given to the owners of the winning animals.
During the International Expo seminars would be organized related to animal husbandry and agriculture. The Animal Husbandry Minister said that international and national level experts would participate in the seminars which and provide valuable information to the farmers for making fisheries, piggery, fishery and goat farming a profitable business.
In addition to this, exhibitions by all government departments as well as national organizations and private companies associated with the animal husbandry business would be organized to provide the latest information and research.
