On the occasion of ‘National Voters’ Day’ on January 25, 2022, some media houses will be honoured with ‘National Media Award’ by the Election Commission of India for educating and sensitizing voters to understand the importance of casting their votes.

Giving information about this, a spokesperson of the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, Haryana said that on the occasion of ‘National Voters’ Day’ on January 25 every year continuously since the year 2011, the Election Commission of India is honouring such media houses, which have spread awareness among people regarding the duty of casting their vote, by giving them ‘National Media Award’. He said that the media houses running the said campaign this year would be awarded the ‘National Media Award’ by the Election Commission on January 25, 2022.
