ASKS OWNERS OF MARRIAGE PALACES TO GET FIREWORKS LICENSE WITH NOC FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT AND FIRE BRIGADE
MARRIAGE PALACES TO HAVE DESIGNATE SUITABLE OPEN PLACE FOR FIREWORKS
HOSHIARPUR, NOVEMBER 3: Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait on Tuesday categorically said that there should be no bursting of firecrackers at a wedding without getting prior license from concerned authority.
Issuing detailed directions under Explosives Rules-2008, the Deputy Commissioner said that each and every marriage palace should follow said rules without any fail in larger public interest. Apneet Riyait further mentioned that every marriage palace should obtain a License for fireworks and owner of marriage palace will be responsible for license. She said that there should be fixed open place for fireworks in palaces, which should at least 30 meter far away from the tent, main road and parking place. There should be no crossing of power lines above the place prescribed for bursting or firecrackers in the palaces, said the Deputy Commissioner adding that water should be available at site of firecracker besides having requisite fire extinguishers near the spot.
The permission should be granted by the District Magistrate only after obtaining no objection certificate (NOC) from the Police Department and Fire Brigade for the place where the firecrackers are to be set off by the owners of the Marriage Palace.
Riyait also stated that no laxity, in ensuring the compliance of explosives rules, would be tolerated at any cost.
