No farmer will suffer loss in any crop under AAP governance in Punjab: MLA Dinesh Chadha

-Crop diversity was only in books for decades, Mann government makes it a reality for the welfare of Punjab and its farmers: MLA Chadha

-By giving compensation on the Moong crop, CM Bhagwant Mann proved that the AAP government is firmly standing with farmers.

Chandigarh, July 2 :-
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has termed the announcement of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann historic for giving additional compensation to the farmers whose summer Moong crop was not procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 7275 in the state.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters on Saturday, senior AAP leader and MLA Dinesh Chadha said that the farmers sowed moong crops on the appeal of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann but some of them sold it at below MSP price. When it comes to the notice of CM Mann, he again proved that the AAP government is standing with the farmers by giving compensation to the farmers who sold their Moong crop below the MSP price.
Chadha said that earlier people used to read about the diversity of crops only in books that other crops such as Moong should be grown apart from wheat and rice to save groundwater.
“No government did anything in this regard, however, AAP under the dynamic leadership of CM Mann, took this initiative and announced MSP on Moong crop to encourage farmers of Punjab to opt for diversification,” MLA said.
