Chandigarh, August 28- Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Sandeep Singh directed the officers to ensure completion of various ongoing public works on priority basis.
The Sports Minister said this while addressing the public grievances of the people at Jan Darbar held in Ismailabad and Pehowa in Kurukshetra district today. He said that the work of developing a grand park with modern facilities will begin soon in Ismailabad.
He informed that the site for the park has been identified. In this park, walking tracks will be made along with installation of swings. The Sports Minister also visited the shrines in Ismailabad and inspected the ongoing construction works.
While hearing the grievances of the people, Sports Minister said that a plan has been prepared to solve drainage problem in the villages. In the rainy season, work is being done to prevent the damage caused to crops and residential areas due to water logging.
He directed the BDPO that MGNREGA workers who have not received their wages yet should soon be given the same in their bank accounts after completing required formalities.
The Sports Minister directed the officers of Municipalities that they should have a special focus on cleanliness. Dirt should not be seen on the roads. If someone intentionally puts a pile of dirt near roadsides, strong action should be taken against him. He informed that empty idle places are being identified in the area so that they can be used for government projects.
