Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Civil Lines, Ludhiana has taken the initiative to organise various events at the interval of fifteen days on “Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji” in order to commemorate his 400th Parkash Purab.

On Friday, an online Inter School/College Declamation competition was organized on by the Gurmat Sabha of the college on the topic of “Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji: Life and Teachings.”
Several registrations were received for this contest in which the shortlisted teams of various institutions from different parts of the state participated enthusiastically.
Dr. Kawaljit Kaur, Former Head, Department of Punjabi, Sant Darbara Singh College, Lopon, Dr. Jaspaul Kaur, Associate Professor, Department of Punjabi, Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana, and Dr. Akal Amrit Kaur, Associate Professor & Head, Post Graduate Department of Punjabi, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar were judges of the event.
The winners of the competition were awarded a set of books.
In college category, Harleen Kaur and Jasleen Kaur of Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar bagged the first and second prize respectively and the third prize was received by Radhika of Mata Gujri Khalsa College, Kartarpur.
In Junior Category, Jasnoor Kaur of Drishti Dr. R.C. Jain Innovative Public School, Narangal won the first prize and Samridhi Purohit and Vanshika of BCM School, Chandigarh road, Ludhiana received the second and third prize respectively.
Dr. S.P Singh, President of Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council and Former Vice Chancellor GNDU, Amritsar and S. Arvinder Singh, Honorary General Secretory of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College congratulated the winners and motivated all other participants to actively take part in such activities.
Principal, Dr. Arvinder Singh applauded the efforts of the organizing team of the Declamation competition that comprised Prof. Jaspreet Kaur and Dr. Mandeep Kaur.
