Photography, Filmmaking Workshop organized by Education Department concludes in Kargil
KARGIL, APRIL 15, 2021: 7-day photography and filmmaking workshop for girl students of Kargil organized by the Culture and Counseling Cell of Education Department Kargil in collaboration with non-government organization We are Volunteers for Education (WAVE) concluded at Conference Hall CEO, Office here today.
Chief Education Officer Kargil (CEO) Kargil Nazir Ahmad Wani was the chief guest on the occasion while the Coordinator Culture and Counseling Syed Sajjad Aga, workshop resource person Niharika Arora, Ex-Chief Cameraperson Aaj Tak Zaheer Ahmad Bagh, CEO Roots Ladakh Muzammil Hussain and Sajjad Hussain Bob from WAVES were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Kargil Nazir Ahmed Wani expressed gratitude to the resource person of the workshop Niharika Arora for coming all the way to Kargil to conduct this workshop for the girl students of Kargil.
CEO Kargil advised the students to explore new career options in the field of photography and filmmaking and also suggested to use social media sensibly. He further advised the participants to employ photography and filmmaking skills to spread peace and positivity in the society.
20 girl students from various higher secondary schools and colleges of the district participated in the 7 day long workshops who were taught about the basics of photography and film making by the resource person of the workshop Niharika Arora, a filmmaker based in Delhi.
The students expressed happiness over the conduct of this workshop and thanked the organizers for providing them this platform.
Later, the CEO Kargil distributed participation certificates among the students.
