The novel coronavirus spared no one. It did not differentiate between the rich and the poor or religions and socio- economic backgrounds. It has affected people from all strata around the globe. Here is a list of people who tested positive for this virus:
- Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of UK
The British PM confirmed on twitter that he had tested positive. He also mentioned in the same video that he was undergoing self- isolation and continued to work from home, like the rest of the world.
- Prince Charles of Wales
The Royal Palace announced on 25th March, 202 that Prince Charles tested positive. He had developed mild symptoms and he underwent self- isolation. He has fully recovered now.
- Rand Paul, US Senator for Kentucky
This politician had already undergone surgery to have a part of his lung removed. He took the test merely as a precaution even though he was asymptomatic.
- Utah Democrat Ben McAdams
The Utah representative was hospitalized with the virus and was also put on oxygen. After two days of care, he was out of danger and recovered within no time.
- Sophie Trudeau, wife of Canadian PM
She experienced flu like symptoms when she returned from her visit to London. She got tested and the results were positive. She is now recovered.
- Donald Trump and Wife, Melania Trump
The couple tested positive in the White House but the ex- president brushed it off as a simple flu and a ‘hoax’. Once he showed symptoms, he tweeted that they would be quarantining together. He recovered before the elections and was back on duty.
- Eshaq Jahangiri, Vice President of Iran
The VP of Iran along with two cabinet ministers tested positive for this virus.
- Peter Dutton, Australian Home Affairs minister
This senior member contacted his health department when he woke up with a sore throat. He was then admitted to the hospital and tested positive.
- Albert II, Prince of Monaco
Aged 62, the Prince of Monaco was among the first heads to have contracted the virus. He started working from home after that and has recovered now. He had just visited the family in the White House before he fell sick.
- Augusto Heleno, Brazil’s National Security Advisor
He was among the dozen other Cabinet members who tested positive. It is also reported that he ignored his self- isolation and returned to work after seven days.
