Punjab Minister for Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Investment Promotion, Labour and Hospitality Departments, Miss Anmol Gagan Mann reiterated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is committed to Channelise the positive energy of Punjab youth by promoting sports culture among them.
Inaugurating a sports complex at Palhedi Village of Kharar Constituency today, she said that these playgrounds will prove a boon for our younger generation by inculcating sports culture in them. She further said that the Stadium has a cricket pitch, and volleyball ground besides a walking track for morning walkers to accommodate all the residents as per their needs. She asked the BDPO to set up an open gym also here so that people can exercise whenever they have leisure time.
The projects dedicated here to the villagers included a Playground adjoining park for Rs 27 lakh, Thapar Model Sewer Water disposal system at a cost of Rs 19 lakh, Streets worth Rs 17 lakh and a small park at a cost of Rs 6 lakh.She assured the villagers that meet all the pending demands including the missing link of the main road soon.
Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that the New Chandigarh area of Punjab has immense potential for eco-tourism and being Investment Promotion Minister he is feeling proud to announce that the investment policies framed by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have paved the way for bigger projects like theme park in this area.
On being asked upon rejection of Punjab Tableaus for the National Republic Day Parade by the Centre Government, she said that it is very painful that the Nation’s heroes Sardar Bhagat Singh and Kartar Singh Sarabha’s portrait based Tableaus were not considered for the R Day Parade.
The prominent persons present there included SDM Kharar Gurmandar Singh, Sarpanch Kulwinder Singh and other members of village Panchayat and Rural Development and Panchayat Officials.
