Power Minister pays floral tribute to freedom fighters in a programme organised to mark the 80th anniversary of Quit India Movement

Chandigarh, August 7-  Haryana Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh greeted the people of the state on the occasion of 80th anniversary of the Quit India Movement and said that the ‘Quit India Movement’ was the world’s largest movement carried out in a democratic way.

The Power Minister attended a programme organized at Swatantrata Senani Bhawan, Sonipat to mark the 80th anniversary of Quit India Movement. He paid floral tributes to the picture of Mother India and hoisted tricolour. On this occasion, he also paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil war.

        The Power Minister said that the tricolour is a symbol of national unity, the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has started ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to encourage people to bring national flags and hoist it from August 13 to 15 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark the 75th year of India’s Independence.
