Mayor Jeeti Sidhu lays foundation stone*

After a wait of nearly a decade, Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu has allotted land for the construction of Press Club SAS Nagar for its building. The Land has been allotted near Bal Gopal Gaushala in Sector 57. The building will be constructed for all working journalists of Mohali.
On Wednesday, Mayor Mohali Amarjit Singh Sidhu laid the foundation stone of the club in the presence of Patron of Press Club Kewal Singh Rana, President Hillary Victor, General Secretary Pardeep Singh Happy, Chairman Manoj Joshi, Cashier Vishal Shankar and other senior journalists.
On the occasion Deputy Mayor Kuljeet Singh Bedi, MC Gursahib Singh, renowned industrialist Sanjeev Garg, Congress leader Gurnam Singh were also present.
During the ceremony, Mayor said, the delegation of the club recently met with cabinet minister Balbir Singh Sidhu regarding the land and he has allotted the same. It was a long pending demand of the working journalists.
President of the club Hillary Victor and senior journalist Kewal Singh Rana expressed gratitude towards Balbir Singh Sidhu and mayor Amarjit Singh Sidhu for accepting the long pending demand of the journalists. They said that now journalists can be able to work from one place for the welfare of the society.
Senior Journalists Manoj Mani Joshi, Sukhdeep Singh Soi, Hardeep Kaur Virk, Ujjal Singh, Munish Kumar-Kaka Shankar, Varinderpal Singh, Davinder Singh Jasvir Singh Jassi, Hardeep Virk, Lakhwant Singh, Narvada Shanker, Kulwant Gill, Tarwinder Benipal, Bhupinder Babbar, Narinder Jhampur, Niranjan Singh Lehal, Gurdeep Benipal and Lalita Jamwal were also present on the occasion.
