Private schools will not hike fees till the next orders

The Minister of State for School Education and General Administration, Shri Inder Singh Parmar has said that the parents or guardians of the students studying in non aided non government schools of the state will not have to submit any fee other than the tuition fee till further orders. Along with this, no private school will be able to increase any fees in the academic session 2021-22 till further orders. Shri Parmar told that these instructions would be equally applicable to all non-aided non-government schools affiliated to CBSE, ICSE, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education and other boards in the state. For the academic session 2021-22, if fees have been increased by any non-government schools, then the fees collected by such increase will be adjusted against the next due fees of the students concerned. Shri Parmar said that students and parents have been affected by the circumstances of last year’s infection of Covid. At present also the same situation prevails. Therefore, in continuation of the decision of 4th November 2020 passed by the Hon’ble High Court in the last year, this year also these instructions have been issued for the academic session 2021-22. The School Education Department has given instructions in this regard to the Collectors of all the districts, all the Divisional Joint Director Public Instructions and District Education Officers. In relation to the academic session 2020-21, subclause 4 of clause 2 of the instructions issued by the departmental circular given on March 1st 2021 has been made ineffective till further orders. Along with this, the instructions issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction on 29th June 2021 regarding fee hike by non government schools has been made ineffective till further orders.
