Progress in education is the basis of tribal development

Governor Shri Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel has said that the basis of tribal development is progress in education. He said that he is saying this on the basis of belonging to tribal area and the experience of work related to efforts for tribal upliftment. He said that the spirit of implementation is important in the efforts for the upliftment of the underprivileged. It is important to act with a sense of belonging. After assuming office today, Governor Shri Patel first reached Tribal Research and Development Institute and got information about the efforts of tribal upliftment, development and research works in the state. On this occasion, the Governor released three books Gond Painting, Madhya Pradesh ki Aushadheeya Vanaspatiyan (Medicinal Plants of Madhya Pradesh) and Janjateeya Vadya (Tribal Instruments). Governor Shri Patel said that he himself will undertake intensive tour of tribal areas to give more impetus to the efforts of tribal development in the state. Interact with the tribal members and get information about their needs and requirements. Referring to the context of Gujarat, he said that the model of tribal development created by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by launching Van Bandhu Yojana would be the model of the whole country. He said that after reviewing the percentage of education, drop-out status in primary, secondary, higher secondary and higher education, employment status and the status of vocational training according to the needs of local industries, efforts should be made to prepare an action plan for tribal development.

Governor Shri Patel said that for the first time in the country, the work of giving lease of forest rights had started in Bastar. The success of this work is that those who have been cultivating for centuries, they get rights easily. He said that for tribal development it is necessary that they should be included equally in the mainstream. He said that the way upliftment works are done in other schemes. Similarly, tribal development works should also be done. He said that the Tribal Research and Development Centre should work in this direction. The Governor said that efforts for development and cooperation of the poor and downtrodden provide satisfaction in the work. Sensitivity is the basis of building a healthy society.
