With a view to ensure better healthcare facilities to the people of the state, it has been directed by the Punjab Chief Minister S. Charanjit Singh Channi to launch ‘Mukh Mantri Punjab Motia Mukt Abhiyan’ which would commence from November 26 all across the State.

Disclosing this here today, the Civil Surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur informed that as part of the massive initiative announced by Chief Minister Punjab, eye camps would be organized in the district, wherein the eye sight of the people would be thoroughly examined and those found suffering with cataract shall be operated upon after a period of 15 days free of cost.
“The transportation facility including pick up and drop back shall also be provided to the people along with the refreshments for the people undergoing operations”, said the officer, adding that free spectacles would also be provided to those operated upon. At least one camp will be held in each Tehsil in the month of December. The campaign shall continue till 31st December. She appealed to the people of the district to come forward and avail full benefit of this initiative.
