Punjab University celebrated National Teacher’s Day

–On teacher’s day Punjab University commemorate retired alumni teachers

Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized National Teacher’s Day celebration to commemorate 2021-2022 retired teachers of the university at Golden Jubilee Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The program was hosted for the first time in the university which was intended to pay tribute to all the teachers who have completed their tenure of service in the university for the session 2021-2022.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, P.U. proposed this idea to honour the stalwarts for their commendable service. The event was graced by the worthy presence of senior dignitaries of Panjab University, DUI Prof. Renu Vig, Director (RDC) Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Registrar Y.P. Verma and other dignitaries from the various departments of University.

Department of Microbiology, Panjab University celebrated teacher’s day in the department

Every year 5th September is celebrated throughout India as teacher’s day to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, the 2nd president of India. In lieu of this the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated teacher’s day in the department to express love and gratitude towards their teachers. The event started with the traditional lighting of the lamp, this was followed by different games and cultural performances in which both the teachers and the students participated with full zeal. As a token of respect and love to the teachers the students took an oath to abstain from using drugs. Dr. Deepak K. Rahi, Chairman, also addressed the students and made them to take a vow that they will help at least one underprivileged child in its education. The program ended with a thank you note which was delivered by Prof. Vijay Prabha the organizer of today’s program.

Students of UIFT & VD surprised Teacher’s on the occasion of Teacher’s Day 

Teachers’ Day a celebration to commemorate the importance of teachers in our lives. It is a special day for the appreciation of teachers.  On the occasion of teachers day , students of UIFT&VD surprised the faculty members by planning a ceremony to honour and celebrate their contributions. Final year students stepped into the professors shoes, appeared in their Avataars and stride along hand in hand with them. The event ended on a happy note with refreshments and music! The event was organised and managed by Manpreet (Bsc 3rd year) and Lovepreet (BSc 2nd year).
