Remember the virtues of the immortal martyrs who fought for freedom – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani paved way for freedom by sacrificing his life at a young age

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that only if we remember our martyrs, we will know the true value of freedom. This precious freedom has been acquired due to the sacrifice of thousands and lakhs of martyrs. Therefore, let us keep remembering the virtues of those immortal martyrs who fought for our freedom. We must always remember the immortal martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle, this will also give a new direction to our young generation. Hemu Kalani happily sacrificed his life for freedom at the age of 19. The Chief Minister was addressing the Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani Balidan Diwas programme held in Ujjain today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid floral tributes at the statue of Hemu Kalani.

The programme which was held at the park located in Sindhi Colony, was attended by Ujjain MP Shri Anil Firojia, Ujjain North MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, Shri Vivek Joshi, Shri Roop Pamnani, Shri Sunil Navalani, Shri Mahesh Pariyani, Corporator Shri Kailash Prajapati, Smt. Divya Balwani, Shri Jitendra Kripalani and other distinguished citizens.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that martyr Hemu Kalani happily accepted death sentence while fighting the British, but did not reveal the names of his comrades. Dr. Yadav said that the sun never sets in the British Empire, because they ruled most of the countries of the world. There were two ideologies in the country at that time to fight such powerful rulers. One ideology was of Mahatma Gandhi who followed the path of non-violence, the other was the revolutionary ideology of Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had given the slogan of independence “Tum mujhe khoon do, mein tumhe azadi dunga”.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we all are remembering Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani. On behalf of the government, I pay tributes to Shaheed Hemu Kalani. He asked the organizers to publish a book based on the life of Shaheed Hemu Kalani and also organize a photo exhibition.

Dr. Yadav said that pattas and other problems of Bengali Colony to other colonies of Ujjain will be resolved on priority. Shri Roop Pamnani said that Sindhi community has been celebrating the birth anniversary and Balidan Diwas of Shaheed Hemu Kalani for the last 27 years. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav himself has been participating in the programme for the last 16 years. He said that the martyr does not belong to any one caste, community or religion, he belongs to the country. The community is extremely proud of the sacrifice of Shaheed Hemu Kalani.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered prayers at Mayapati Hanuman Temple

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today visited the Mayapati Hanuman Temple located at Social Justice Complex in Ujjain and offered prayers and wished for the happiness of the people of the state. The Chief Minister also participated in the aarti. Shri Ramcharit Manas annual parayan samaroha was organized by Rajput Adhyatmik Mandal. The Chief Minister was welcomed with a tilak and bouquets. On this occasion, Ujjain MP Shri Anil Firojia, Ujjain North MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal and other public representatives and distinguished citizens of Rajput community were present.
