R DAY CELEBRATIONS TO BE HELD AT DISTRICT ADMN COMPLEX

The district level Republic Day celebrations will be held at the District Administrative Complex Barnala and adhering to the Punjab government orders, gathering of only 100 people will be allowed.

Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Kumar Sourabh Raj said this while presiding over meeting convened to assign duties for the Republic Day celebrations. Deputy Commissioner said that following Punjab government orders due to Covid 19 pandemic, gathering of not more than 100 people is allowed at the event.
He said that the function shall not include citations or honoring people, distribution of any kind of benefits to people et al. Already for the past two years, on orders of Punjab government, freedom fighters and their kin are being honored a day before on January 25 for their immense contribution to struggle for freedom. Deputy Commissioner assigned duties to various departments and directed to diligently follow it.
ADC (G) Mr Amit Bamby, SDM Barnala Mr Varjit Walia, SDM Tapa Mrs Simarpreet Kaur, Civil Surgeon Dr Jasbir Singh Aulakh, DDPO Mr Sukhchain Singh and heads of various other departments were also presentt.
