He laid special emphasis on Haryana Gramin Udyogik Vikas Yojna, a path-breaking scheme focussed on promoting rural entrepreneurship and balanced regional growth. The scheme shall offer an array of attractive incentives like capital subsidy, interest subsidy and DG subsidy for micro-enterprises in rural areas.

He also mentioned, that to promote start-ups, financial assistance in the form of seed grant up to INR 10 lakh, lease rental subsidy up to INR 5 lakh, interest subsidy up to 8 per cent for 5 years, 100 per cent Net SGST reimbursement for 7 years, support for attending national and international incubation programmes and mentorship support shall also be provided by the state government. A presentation on ASPIRE scheme was then made by SIDBI PMU and team Grant Thornton Bharat LLP.

It is envisioned that the webinar will help educate and capacitate the MSMEs to leverage various central and state government schemes and initiatives, and also give an impetus to setting up incubation centres through academic institutions, to benefit MSMEs and generate more entrepreneurship and employment opportunities in the state of Haryana.

Meanwhile, the Government of India has launched ASPIRE to set up a network of technology centres, and incubation centres to accelerate entrepreneurship and also to promote startups for innovation in the agro-industry. Agro and food processing is also one of the thrust sectors in Haryana with a significant presence of MSMEs.

Aligned with the state government’s vision of entrepreneurship development and employment generation, the Directorate of MSME has taken several significant measures.

The Directorate is now working on leveraging the scheme to give a boost to state MSMEs and strengthen state government’s initiatives.
