Leh, Aug 27: Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Nyoma (Leh-II) held on virtual mode today. The meeting was headed by Vice-Chancellor SKUAST-K Prof Nazir Ahmad.
Executive Councillor for Agriculture LAHDC – Leh Phuntsog Stanzin, Director Extension SKUAST-K Prof Mushtak Ahmad, head of the departments, representatives of line departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, CAZRI-RRS Leh, HMAARI-SKUAST-K Leh, KVK Leh & Kargil and scientific staff of KVK Nyoma were also present. The programme was presented by Programme Coordinator KVK Nyoma Dr Jigmet Yangchan.
During the meeting, last year progress report/action taken and action plan for the upcoming year of KVK Nyoma was discussed in detail. The participants gave their inputs and valuable suggestions regarding animal husbandry, vegetable cultivation, food preservation, fodder cultivation among others.
