Chandigarh, December 29 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today condemned the Congress party for indulging in hooliganism and violence in the Sri Fatehgarh Sahib gurdwara premises yesterday at a time when ‘shaheeedhi samagams’ were being held to mark the supreme sacrifice of the Sahibzadas.
Addressing a joint press conference here, senior leaders Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra and Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said Congress goons had not only hurt the sentiments of the Sikh ‘sangat’ by their reprehensible acts but had also insulted the tradition of ‘langar’ by upturning utensils of tea made for devotees.
