Chandigarh, February 27- Haryana Governor, Satyadeo Narain Arya said that Sant Shiromani Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj was a great saint, philosopher and social reformer. His teachings are still relevant in this contemporary society. The Governor paid floral tributes to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji during a ceremony organized to mark the birth anniversary of the great Saint at Raj Bhavan here today. On this occasion Lady Governor, Saraswati Devi also paid floral tributes to Shri Guru Ravidas ji. Arya greeted the people of the state. He wished peace and prosperity for everyone. He said that Sri Guru Ravidas believed in equality.
He said that Sant Guru Ravidas ji was not a preacher of any particular caste or community, but was a pioneer of entire human race. His thoughts are not only restricted to one caste. Ravidas ji is revered all over the world due to his philosophy and teachings, he added.
Promoting equality, we should adopt and follow the teachings of Ravi Das ji to develop the nation and prevent social discrimination in society, he added.
