Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today planted Saptaparni and Gulmohar saplings in Smart Park Shyamla Hills, Bhopal. Padmashri Dr. Kapil Tiwari also planted saplings on this occasion. Along with planting saplings, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also offered Shramdaan.

Gulmohar is considered one of the most beautiful trees in the world. Flowers blooming in big bunches between the leaves of Gulmohar give a distinct attraction to this tree. In summer, instead of leaves, Gulmohar trees are laden with flowers. It is also rich in medicinal properties. Saptaparni, an evergreen medicinal tree, has great importance in Ayurveda. This medicinal plant is used in the manufacture of various medicines.

Litterateur Dr. Kapil Tiwari has been honoured with Padmashri in the year 2021. Dr. Tiwari was born in Sagar. Dr. Tiwari, associated with the field of literature and education, has edited 93 books related to folk culture literature. He has made significant contribution in the promotion of tribal and folk arts and folk artists in Madhya Pradesh. He edited two monographs specifically focused on the Devaloka of tribal communities, which are centred on the Gauda and Kurku tribes.
