Satyadeo Narain Arya congratulated people of the state on Republic Day

Chandigarh, January 27: On the occasion of 72nd Republic Day, Haryana Governor, Satyadeo Narain Arya congratulated the people of the state. In the Republic Day celebrations held at the Raj Bhawan premises on January 26, the Governor unfurled the National flag, inspected the parade and also received guard of honour.

After inspecting the march past and saluting the national flag, Arya said that not only the country and the state but the entire world is currently fighting against the COVID-19 Pandemic. Doctors, Nurses, Policemen and volunteers while putting their lives on risk, have worked to save the society from this deadly virus. These Corona warriors while rising above social, religious, caste and community differences have worked for people suffering from COVID-19 infection and because of these dedicated efforts put in by these Warriors, COVID-19 death rate in Haryana is lesser as compared to other states.

The Governor while extending heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Corona Warriors along with the State Government and all religious, social and voluntary organizations, said that though Corona vaccine has been rolled out in the Country, still people should take all necessary precautions so as to ensure virus containment.

The State Government is functioning in a transparent manner and for this the Chief Minister and his Administrative Officers certainly deserve a big round of applause. The efforts being made by the Haryana Government to work in a transparent manner have also been recognized at national level as recently President of India, Ram Nath Kovind had conferred Digital India Award-2020 to Haryana, said the Governor.

Taking forward this vision of Digital India, 549 schemes of 40 departments have been made digital. Similarly, to take advantage of all government schemes while sitting at home, “Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchan” programme has been started by the State Government, said Arya.

He said that “Lal Dora Mukt Yojana” has been started to give the villagers the right to own their property in Haryana. There are huge employment opportunities in the private sector for the youth of the state. Accordingly, under Haryana Skill Development Mission, arrangements have been made to impart skill training to 68,770 youths and 71,000 youths at Shri Vishwakarma Skill Development University and 80,000 youth have also been provided contractual employment, said Arya.

The Governor further said that the State Government has brought in many revolutionary reforms in the field of education. Free coaching centres have been opened in government schools under the “Super-100” programme. The State Government has prepared a plan to distribute free tabs to all students of classes VIII to XII studying in government schools of the state. Arya said that while keeping the interests of farmers in mind, many farmer-friendly schemes have also been implemented by the State Government.

The Governor while calling upon the people of the state on the occasion of Republic Day said that they should work together to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation and to rebuild the country. He wished everyone a happy and golden future.

On this occasion, the Governor from his voluntary fund announced a reward amount of Rs. 1 lakh to the children of ‘SHE Foundation’, Rs. 5 lakh to the Haryana Police personnel participating in the parade and 25,000 to Sunil Kumar a physically challenged employee working in Raj Bhawan.

In the ceremony, along with the first lady of Haryana, Saraswati Devi and other family members, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, V. Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sanjeev Kaushal, along with Secretary to the Governor Dr. G. Anupama, Senior Administrative and Police Officers and other dignitaries were also present.
