Discuss COVID-19 prevention measures
KARGIL AUGUST 25, 2020: Keeping in view the prevailing health situation and sudden rise in COVID-19 positive cases the Sub Division, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Drass Asgar Ali today convened a meeting of all block officers and religious heads.
During the course of meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various aspects to contain the resurgence of COVID-19 positive cases.
The SDM stressed the religious heads and district officers to work in tandem and close coordination to ensure that all SOPs issued by the District Administration are followed in letter and spirit during the ongoing Muharram mourning congregations.
The SDM also urged the religious heads to held mourning congregations during the day time instead of night hours and not allow the children below 10 years and older people more than 60 years in the Muharram Majalis so as to contain the spread of the deadly Corona Virus.
The religious heads informed the SDM that all SOPs are bring adhered to with extreme strictness and people are being advised to understand the gravity of situation and religiously follow the COVID-19 preventive measures.
They also assured the SDM that participation of minimum number of mourners will be ensured during the Ashura procession.
