During his visit to Kargil, Secretary of Animal, Sheep, and Fisheries, UT Ladakh, conducted a detailed review of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) data uploading process. The review focused on the procedures and methods used for uploading FMD data onto the Pashudhan app, a crucial tool for tracking and managing livestock health.
Dr. Gulzar Hussain, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kargil, along with his team provided an in-depth demonstration of the entire process, explaining the systematic approach employed by his team to ensure accurate and timely data entry. He highlighted the importance of meticulous record-keeping and the use of technology in monitoring the health status of livestock across the district.
Dr. Franklin, expressed his satisfaction with the methods being used and appreciated the diligent efforts of the Kargil Animal Husbandry team headed by CAHO Kargil.
He acknowledged the significant progress made in the digitalization of livestock health records and commended the department for its commitment to maintaining high standards in animal health management.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued vigilance and the use of modern tools like Pashudhan App in the effective management of livestock diseases. The Secretary’s visit and positive feedback have further motivated the department to enhance its efforts in safeguarding the health of the region’s livestock.
