Traffic challans, electricity and water bill disputes may also be resolved

“Litigation is a time and money consuming exhaustive exercise; as far as possible an amicable resolution of disputes should be opted for” said Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan while suggesting people to make most of the National Lok Adalat to be held on Saturday, July 10.
He suggested that cases related to Revenue Department/ land acquisition disputes pending in various courts at sub division and tehsil level, may be settled through the Lok Adalat. Apart from the cases pending in the courts, pre-litigation cases will also be taken up, he informed.
Further, the issues related to traffic challans, electricity and water bill disputes may also be resolved through the upcoming Lok Adalat.
The lok adalat will be organized virtually as well as physically and the benches will be constituted at District Court Complex Mohali as well as at Sub-divisions i.e. Kharar and Derabassi.
Encouraging general public to take maximum advantage of the opportunity he said that quick and easy disposal of pending cases is a win-win situation for all the parties in litigation.
