Camps in all Gurdwaras on Jan 17 for enrollment of voters
DC directs BLOs to Assist Patwaris in all villages

Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain today said that the district administration Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar will arrange special camps for registration of voters for SGPC polls, tomorrow (January 17) in all Gurdwara Sahiban of District.
Under this drive , special camps would be organized in all Gurdwaras of the district on January 17 for the enrollment of the voters in maximum numbers for SGPC elections.
Deputy Commissioner said that the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji will observe tomorrow on January 17 in all Gurdwara Sahiban and devotees will come to pay obeisance in huge numbers in all Gurdwaras.
She said that patwaris and Booth Level Officers will remain present in all Gurdwaras and collect the voter registration forms.
She said that the patwaris and BLOs would get enrollment forms individually from each person. She said that forms would be made available to the people on the spot and can also be downloaded from SASNagar.nic.in.
She also appealed to all the Sikh organizations to sensitise the Keshadhari Sikh people having age 21 years or above regarding registration as voters.
It may be mentioned here that the eligible person should be a Keshdhari Sikh. Those who trim or shave a beard, smoke, or drink alcohol cannot register themselves as a voter.
