Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal said that the process of shifting qualified commission agents from old vegetable market to new vegetable market (new sabzi mandi) in Dabwali town is underway, the process will be completed in next three months.

Sh. JP Dalal said this in response to a question raised during the ongoing winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
He informed that Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board was established on August 1, 1969 for the control and supervision of all the market committees of the State. Since its inception, the Board has established 114 Main Yards, 167 Sub Yards and 196 Purchase Centres in the State.
The work of New Sabzi Mandi, Dabwali was completed during the year 2018 which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on July 7, 2018. New Sabzi Mandi Dabwali was notified on February 4, 2019 by cancelling the notification of Old Sabzi Mandi Dabwali. He informed that 38 license holders are doing business in Old Sabzi Mandi, Dabwali. The old vegetable market was developed in which there was no provision for retailers. However, provision has been made for retailers in the approved map of the new vegetable market. He said that out of 38 license holders, 32 had applied for allotment of shop at the reserve price in New Sabzi Mandi, Dabwali.
Sh. JP Dalal said that as per the Immovable Property Act of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, all the properties developed by the Board or the Market Committees would be sold through allotment/transfer/open bidding. In the Mandis that have been cancelled, the shop plots will be allotted to the license holders of the old category (2) and as a result, the license holders of such displaced class (2) will be given a new business of buying and selling agricultural products on free hold basis.
Blocks will be allotted in the mandis on the following conditions. In the mandis where some plots have already been auctioned, plots will be allotted on the basis of the average price of the previous auction. In those mandis where plots have not yet been auctioned or two mandis where the present allotment/transfer/auction was done 5 years back, the price of plots will be fixed at 35% above the reserve price. The reserve price shall be determined on the basis of a resolution passed by the Board on June 1, 1987 or on the basis of such other formula as may be passed by the Board from time to time.
