Chandigarh, August 23 2021 Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal informed that as per the information received from all the State Universities, except Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, no political party has organized any political programme in the State Universities since September 2019.
While responding to a question raised in the Vidhan Sabha session today Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that according to information received from Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, two political programmes were organized where Jannayak Janta Party programme was organized on December 9, 2019 and programme by Bharatiya Janata Party was organized on July 11, 2021. For which the payment of Rs. 59,000 (including Goods and Services Tax) was paid for both the organized programmes.
Sh. Kanwarpal informed that Jannayak Janata Party’s District Secretary had requested the Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa for permission to organize the programme, while the Bharatiya Janata Party workers had also requested through the district administration for permission to organize the programme. Its consent was given orally by the Vice-Chancellor. In addition, Rs. 1,77,000 was paid by the Indian National Students Organization, a student wing of the Jannayak Janata Party, for the programme organized on August 5, 2021 at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
