Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that under the policy notified by the State Government, there is a provision to provide job to one dependent of the family of the owner of the acquired land.

Dr. Banwari Lal was answering a question raised during the ongoing winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.

He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad was established in the year 1984-85 with a crushing capacity of 1250 TCD (Tons of Sugarcane Per Day).  The capacity of this mill was increased to 3500 TCD in the year 1994-95 which was further increased to 5000 TCD, which can further be increased to 7500 TCD with 24 MW power co-generation.

He informed that as per the notification of the State Government, 20 acres, 6 kanal and 14 marla land of village Janderi adjacent to Shahabad Sugar Mill was acquired in the year 2004-05 for setting up of 60 KLPD Ethanol Plant at Shahabad Sugar Mill.  He said that the policy of providing benefits to the farmers whose land has been acquired was notified by the State Government (Department of Revenue vide Gazette notification dated 2.11.2010 in sub-paragraph (1) and (2) of para 11 of the said policy.  There is a provision for providing employment to a dependent of the family whose land has been acquired.
