AAP MLAs have demanded immediate resignation of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for having failed to pre-empting such  tragedies occurring in Punjab.

The AAP leaders also demanded a high level and time-bound probe into the tragedy that took place in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Batala (Gurdaspur) districts under the supervision of a sitting judge of the High Court, besides a compensation of Rs. 20 lakh and a government job to eligible member of the families.

Sandhwan and Rouri also demanded registration of ‘murder’ cases against those responsible so as to send out a strong message to the liquor mafia calling the shots under the protective patronage of political masters,  officials and middlemen, et al.
