Chandigarh, April 20- Taking steps forward towards zero tolerance policy of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to prevent corruption in the state, 2 enquiries have been registered during the month of February, 2022 as per orders of the State Government against 1 Gazetted Officer (GO) and 3 Non-Gazetted Officers (NGOs) and officers/officials of Haryana Staff Selection Commission. 15 enquiries were finalized by the Bureau and final reports have been sent to Vigilance Department, Haryana. Besides, further probe in two enquiries have also been finalized by the Bureau.
Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson of the Bureau said that Out of 15 enquiries completed during the month, in four enquiries, criminal case against 4 GOs, 7 NGOS & 7 Private persons, have been recommended. In two enquiries, the Bureau has recommended departmental action against 2 NGOS. In two enquiries, criminal cases have already been found registered with Local Police, hence no recommendation has been made by this Bureau. In 1 enquiry, departmental action and criminal case (both action) against 1 GO & 1 NGO and departmental action against 1 GO and a criminal case against 2 Private persons has been recommended.
The spokesperson further said that in addition to this, the report of three special checking/technical reports was also sent by the Bureau to the government, in which it was recommended to recover Rs. 16,84,573 from the officers/officials involved.
The spokesman said that during this period, 12 officers/officials have been caught red handed while accepting bribe money and the cases have been registered by the bureau under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and various other sections of Indian Penal code. Officers/officials caught red handed while accepting a bribe money included Ravi Sharma, Super Superintending Engineer and Ravi Shankar, Accountant, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad caught with Rs. 1,40,000. Rajbir Singh, Inspector, Weight and Measurement Section of Food And Supplies Faridabad with bribe money of Rs 60,000. Ujender Singh, Branch manager, Central Cooperative Bank, Village Bata District Palwal with a bribe of Rs 25,000. Maan Singh, Lineman/CA, DHBVN, Sub Divisional Village Chhainsa Faridabad with a bribe of Rs. 26,000. Shri Bhagwan, najar, Haryana Roadways, Jind was caught red handed with a bribe of Rs 10,000. Inspector Jaiveer, SHO Police Station , Cheekha, Kaithal with bribe money of Rs 5,000. Hariom, ALM, DHBVN, Sub Division Urban, Palwal with Rs. 5,000, Anshu Prashar, Surveyor for Municipal Corporation, Gurugram caught with Rs. 2,000, SI Jai Chand, Police Station, central Faridabad caught with Rs 1,000. Besides this, a complaint and enquiry has been registered against ASI Mahesh, Police Station Sadar, Nuh, Mewat and Ranjeet Singh, Clerk, Revenue Department, Yamunagar.
