The students of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Ludhiana have brought laurels to the college as they bagged first and third positions in Bhangra, Photography, Creative Writing (Poem) and Geet gaayan respectively during 62nd Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival held at A. S. College, Khanna organised by Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dr. Arvinder Singh, Principal of the college said that the Bhangra team consisting Captain Singh (B.A. 3rd year), Karamjit Singh (PGDCA), Varun Dogra (B.A. 3rd year), Harpreet Singh (B.Com. 3rd year), Rohit Behal (PGDMC), Karandeep Singh (PGDCA), Arshdeep Singh (PGDCA), and Mohitpreet Singh (M. Sc. Chemistry 1st year) has consecutively won first position in Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival organised by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
He further mentioned that Karamjit Singh, student of PGDCA has bagged individual first prize in Bhangra. He appreciated the contribution of team incharge Prof Manjit Singh, Dr. Daleep Singh, Prof. Harsimran Singh, S. GurIqjot Singh (Coach), Bindar (Dholi) and Kanwardeep Singh (singer of boliyan) student of PGDCA. He said that Vanshika, student of BCA 3rd year has brought the college in the limelight with her photography skills by attaining first position in the same festival. Gurpawanveer Singh Marwaha (B.Com. 2nd year) and Jaspinder Singh Bains (B.A. 2nd year) have secured third position in Geet gaayan and Creative Writing (poetry) respectively.
President, Gujranwala Khalsa Education Council, Ludhiana Dr. S. P. Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor, GNDU, Amritsar while acknowledging the relentless endeavors of the students, coaches, staff in charges said that this institution has always supported and motivated the students to walk extra mile not only in studies but in other co-curricular activities also as it grooms the students for their overall development.
Prof. Jatinder Kapoor, Head, Department of Commerce and incharge of College Cultural Activities said that the college provides timely guidance, support and motivation to it’s students so that they may explore their hidden talent and hone the same for their betterment and growth.
