Sub Divisional Administration Sankoo holds awareness sessions on COVID-19 mitigation measures
KARGIL, APRIL 26, 2021: Sub Divisional Administration Sankoo held awareness sessions for surveillance teams, PRI members, Lambardars, Village Heads, and Anganwadi Workers about COVID-19 management measures and strict observance of SOPs at various villages of the subdivision here today.
The awareness sessions were held at Stakpa Umba, Sangrah, Ticket, and adjoining villages where the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sankoo Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani and other concerned officers advised the PRI members, Lambardars, and other concerned to maintain close liaison with the teams of the Administration for strict enforcement of COVID-19 SOPs in their respective areas.
The SDM and other officers urged the PRI members, Lambardars and villagers to extend all necessary support and assistance to the surveillance teams to ensure proper home quarantine and isolation of inbound travelers and furnish report about the passengers, students, laborers, and other outsiders arriving in the subdivision to the local administration.
Meanwhile, the SDM also stressed the need to strictly follow the COVID-19 SOPs especially the wearing of face masks and to impose fines against the violators. He said that though all strict measures are being taken by the district administration to contain the spread of COVID-19, but it is the responsibility of the people also to extend their full cooperation by adhering to the Covid Appropriate Behaviors and SOPs.
The PRI members and village heads were also urged to exhort upon people to follow the COVID-19 SOPs consistently like maintaining social distancing, frequent hand washing and wearing face masks to help contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
