- URGES PEOPLE TO REGISTER COMPLAINTS AT http://connect.punjab.gov.in
HOSHIARPUR, NOVEMBER 2: Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait on Monday urged the people to register their complaints related to Government Departments online on http://connect.punjab.gov.in for speedy and time-bound redressal.
Giving details, Riyait pointed out that the State Government had already linked all the departments with the Public Grievance Redressal System portal to receive and resolve complaints for prompt redressal. The Deputy Commissioner further said that this digital step would also be beneficial for the general public, who could register their complaints in a single click by sitting at home. When the complaint has been disposed off, a computerised message or call will be received by the Complainant, said the Deputy Commissioner adding that if the complainant was satisfied with the decision, the complaint would be filed otherwise the same would be forwarded to a committee constituted under Public Grievance Redressal Policy for its resolution.
In view of COVID-19, the people should take full advantage of this online system, said Riyait adding that people could register their complaints after getting them registered on the portal. She also informed that the the issues including personal and family disputes, RTI matters, matters that impact territorial integrity of the country or friendly relations with other countries and subjudice or any matter concerning judgment given by any court would not be considered on this portal. The Deputy Commissioner also asked the concerned officers to encourage citizens to use this system for submitting their grievances to the concerned government departments for their early resolution.
