Instead of rhetoric, Sukhi Randhawa should tell what action he is taking as the Home Minister in Maur bomb blast case
Congress, BJP and Badals do not mind even bloodshed for power; Maur bomb blast is an example of this
Chandigarh, October 22
Responding to the statement made by Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa in the Maur bomb blast case, senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema asked, “Instead of making rhetoric, what action is Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa taking as the Home Minister of Punjab in the case of Maur bomb blast?” He said that we (AAP) have been saying from the beginning that the Congress, the Badals and the BJP had hatched a conspiracy of Maur bomb blast to prevent the Aam Aadmi Party from coming to power in 2017; just four days before the polling in which seven innocent people including three children were killed and two dozen people were injured.

In a statement issued from the party headquarters here on Friday, Harpal Singh Cheema alleged that the bomb blast at Maur during the 2017 assembly elections was a conspiracy to defame the Aam Aadmi Party and to scare voters, which was a joint act of the Akali Dal Badal, the BJP and Capt Amarinder Singh. He said that Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, being Home Minister today, is accusing former Congress Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh of not taking any action in the Maur bomb blast case, but everyone knows that Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa himself was in Captain Amarinder Singh’s cabinet and was close to Captain. At that time, he did not talk about the Maur bomb blast.
Cheema asked Sukhi Randhawa that Captain did not want to get this bomb blast investigated, about which everyone knows; now Home Minister Randhawa should tell that in how many days all the culprits will be punished and victims will be given justice by conducting a fair investigation. He said the entire Congress party and the ministers of the Congress government are also responsible for not getting the probe into the Maur bombings done, who never said anything on the issues of bomb blasts and weapon seizure in Punjab. He said that the Congress has a history of creating issues to occupy power and then in the name of those issues, get votes by intimidating or luring people.
The AAP leader further said the Maur bomb blast proves that the Congress, the BJP and Akali Dal Badal, do not hesitate to even bloodshed for the sake of power; but being in power, they keep silence on such issues and this was done with bomb blasts in Maur. Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Maur bomb blast was done as part of a deep conspiracy to create fear of terrorism in a particular section. For this reason, the ruling Congress did not make any effort to conduct a fair and time-bound investigation. He suspected that Captain, the Congress, Badals and the BJP are conspiring to create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation again before the elections.
