Team of Sub Divisional Administration Zanskar takes stock of snow clearance works on NH-301
KARGIL MARCH 19, 2021: On the direction of the Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, a team of Sub Divisional Administration comprising of the officials of Revenue, Information and Mechanical Departments on Thursday visited Penzila Pass to monitor and review the snow clearance works on the Zanskar Kargil Road NH-301.
The team directed the dozer operators engaged in cleaning and widening of the road to expedite the snow clearance operations so as to ensure smooth movement of vehicles on the highway, adding that vehicle passing points are needed after every 500 metres.
The dozer operators assured the team that the cleaning and widening of the road will start from Penzila towards Padum and the road is expected to be cleared within 3 days if the weather conditions remain favourable.
