Preetpal Singh, who suffered severe injuries at Punjab Haryana border and was admitted at PGI Rohtak, is finally being shifted to PGI Chandigarh where he’ll get proper and free treatment for his injuries.
Informing about the same, Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh said that following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Chief Secretary wrote to Haryana chief secretary about the handing over of Preetpal Singh to Punjab for his treatment. After the intervention of CM Mann Preetpal Singh is being shifted to PGI Chandigarh.
Dr. Balbir said that our team is already present at PGI Chandigarh where Preetpal Singh will get proper medical care and his family will be provided all the help they require.
He said that the BJP government is once again murdering democracy on the Haryana border and making mockery of our constitution and law and order in our country. Dr Balbir further added that the agitating farmers have full support of the Aam Aadmi Party and Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government. The party said that farmers from many states including Punjab, Haryana want to protest peacefully in Delhi. Therefore, the Central Government and the Haryana government should allow them to do so.
He also strongly criticized the BJP, Central and Haryana governments for their violent action against farmers. He said that farmers have the constitutional right to protest. The use of barbed wire and torturing our youth is absolutely unconstitutional and undemocratic. The central government should stop torturing our farmers and should soon accept all their demands.
