The “Extra Month” is starting on 18 September. It happens once in every three years. But, this time 19 years later this month has arrived. This means that there will be two Extra Months this year, before that such a coincidence happened in 2001. Many rare yogas are being formed from this greater month, which are going to increase in splendour. Although Extra Months are forworship of Lord Vishnu and Krishna, but this month, it is also the time to get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. In this way, this month is for worship of both Lakshmi and Vishnu.
The full moon of Extra month is believed to be the arrival of Lakshmi on earth. We call it Sharad Purnima. For this reason, Extra month is considered to be important for the worship of Lakshmi. The Dharma Granth says that chanting, austerity, fasting and charity done in extra months gives splendid outcomes. Their virtue never ends.
THE FIRST DAY OF EXTRA MONTH IS AUSPICIOUS
Extra Month is starting on Friday. UttaraphalguniNakshatra will remain vigilant on this day. According to Kashi’s Pandit SL Trivedi, Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra is fruitful for everyone. The beginning of the month in this nakshatra will be auspicious and will give quick results. Uttara Phalguni also increases respect and prosperity rapidly. In more months, the work related to splendourwill produce faster results. At that time there will also be auspicious yoga named Shukla. This yoga gives light and calmness like its name. In this month, many auspicious days are good for purchase, from gold and silver to machine and vehicles.
SEVERAL AUSPICIOUS DAYS DURING THE EXTRA MONTH
Dwipushkar Yoga is on 19 September, the second day of the greater month. Swati Nakshatra on 20, VisakhaNakshatra on 21. Sarvarthasiddhi Yoga on 26th and Kamala Ekadashi on 27th September. It is called the day of Lakshmi. Ekadashi is also dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
WHY DOES EXTRA MONTH GIVE YOU PROSPERITY
Extra Month is believed by sacred texts to be a special time. This is the additional time beyond the 12 months of the year. It is also called Purushottam month. Lord Vishnu is considered to be the driver of the universe during this period. He is the God of household. He is believed to give all the glory to the householders.
